MNU has many general and content-specific databases for you to use in your research. Think of them as digital encyclopedias or "academic Google".
These databases may be accessed by entering your MNU email username and password.
Campus Research - A comprehensive collection of news, business, and law information for students.
Credo Reference - An online database comprised of full-text materials on diverse subjects. The database allows cross-searching in Polaris, EBSCOhost and JSTOR.
CQ Researcher - An online research database of research reports on a variety of contemporary issues. These are not journal articles.
Discovery - Search various library databases including EBSCO, Polaris, Credo Reference, RefUSA, CQ Researcher and others.
Ebrary - A collection of 70,000+ e-books from all academic disciplines.
Encyclopedia Britannica - Delivers fast and easy access to high-quality, comprehensive information. A combination of the Encyclopædia Britannica plus Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary and Thesaurus, magazines and periodicals, and other research tools.

EBSCOhost - A web-based periodical retrieval system which allows you to read, print or e-mail magazine and newspaper articles. NOTE: If you have having trouble logging in to EBSCOhost, click here for help.
JSTOR (Arts and Sciences Collection IV) - An online research database of journal articles on psychology, education, business, law, public policy and administration.
Kansas City Business Journal - The latest breaking business news, updated throughout the day, some of this week's top stories from the Kansas City Business Journal and other popular features from the print edition.
LexisNexis - Access to more than 10,000 of the most credible business, legal and news sources available in a single location.
ReferenceUSA - Premier business and residential information database for reference and research.
Counseling and Therapy in Video - contains more than 1000 hours of training videos and reenactments, as well as footage of actual therapy sessions conducted by renowned psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers. Videos provide a firsthand look at the realities of working with clients, as well as the challenges of translating theories into practice.
Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts, Client Narratives, and Reference Works - A searchable collection containing real transcripts of counseling and therapy sessions and first-person narratives illuminating the experience of mental illness and treatment, as well as reference works to contextualize the primary material. The database contains more than 2,000 session transcripts, 44,000 pages of client narratives, and 25,000 pages of secondary reference material.

Grove's Music - E-book version of the multi-volume print reference The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians. This version of the reference provides access to related web links and audio samples.
Music Reference Online series of databases - A cross-searchable interface which includes all Music Online: Reference databases. Includes access to African American Music Reference, Classical Music Reference Library, The Garland Encyclopedia of World Music Online and Classical Scores Library.
Naxos - A database of streaming audio links for a variety of music genres, including Classical, Jazz, Folk, Blues, Gospel, Pop & Rock, World, Spoken Word and Relaxation. Files may be downloaded in CD, near-CD, or FM quality.
Mango Languages - Courses in over 40 different languages (both basic and complete lessons are available). Creating a username and password will allow you to pick up where you left off between learning sessions. Includes ESL lessons.
Nursing & Science
ProQuest - Nursing and Allied Health database.
Web of Science - The Web of Science Core Collection, including Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index, all with coverage from 1975-present.
Journal of Teaching in Physical Education - Features research articles based on classroom and laboratory studies, descriptive and survey studies, and summary and review articles. Discusses topics of interest to physical educators at every level.
